Oklahoma offers reciprocity for out-of-state contractors who meet certain requirements. To qualify, you must:

Be currently licensed and in good standing in your home state. Have been licensed as a contractor in your home state for at least two years. Hold a comparable license category in your home state. Show proof of financial responsibility in your home state. Pass the business and law examination.

If you’re an out-of-state contractor who wants to work in Oklahoma, you must submit an application for reciprocity, along with the required documentation and fees. The application for reciprocity must be postmarked or hand-delivered to the Construction Industries Board on or before your license expiration date.
