How To Establish A Sliding Barn Door Entertainment Center: The Course of action
Stage 1) Build The Frame
The frames are really self-explanatory but I have included a finished photograph as properly as a thorough diagram. I produced 3 individual consoles so that is why you see 6 of these frames.
Stage two) Add The Sides
Connect the 3/4″ plywood by to start with applying a bead of wooden glue around the edge of the plywood and safe using two 1/2″ screws. Repeat with each individual portion.
Stage 3) Connect to the wall.
I apologize but I forgot to choose a photograph of the body set up in advance of encounter body, cabinets and cleats were set up but I have included a diagram underneath to give you the measurements.
I set up tongue and groove motor vehicle-siding for texture which reveals by way of the open up back again side. Another great idea would be to paint a contrasting paint colour or incorporate a entertaining wallpaper on the wall behind the console.
Stage 4) Add The Encounter Frame
Stage 5) Add cleats and cabinets
Stage 6) Add major boards.
Never attach at this stage due to the fact it will make it far more tricky to paint or stain them.
Stage seven) Stain or paint body and major
Frame and doors: Sherwin Williams SW Iron Ore (exact colour that Cassity utilized here!)

ain colour combine of 50/fifty Typical Gray/Jacobean
Stage eight) Make Doorways
You could also make classic shaker cupboard doors pursuing this tutorial here.
Rip plywood to 20″ x 30″ panels (or dimension of opening). With nail gun, attach the two 30″ trim boards to the plywood panel.
Double check out your measurement and lower the remaining trim boards to end the door panel. Attach with nail gun.
To make the diagonal structure exhibited on my enjoyment middle, your board will be 29 1/4″ extended from corner to corner with an angle of 28 levels. Again, attach with nail gun.
Stain or paint doors (or both of those!). I painted mine Sherwin Williams Iron Ore to match the body. (This is the exact colour Cassity painted her inside doors and colorwashed her barn door here to incorporate colour when nonetheless displaying the wooden grain.)
Stage 9) Hang Doorways
I adopted the instructions included with my sliding door components. See our Remodelaholic picks for spending budget-welcoming sliding door components here.
Stage ten) Attach major boards to the body
That is it! Not far too bad for an overall sliding barn door enjoyment middle, suitable? Now it’s time for the entertaining part…the extras.
I chose chunky baskets, old trunks and metal containers to decorate our gentleman cave opening shelving. They incorporate additional storage when trying to keep a masculine feel.
I am so delighted with the way my sliding barn door enjoyment middle turned out. All of the activity methods and cable packing containers are hidden driving the barn doors when not in use, but the doors conveniently slide open up to give access when needed. The additional storage is best for all of the PS4/XBox game titles and our DVDs and I even have a basket for remote controls. Existence is good for all of us!
